Your next vacation
A real and pristine mountain to be discovered
From its perch at 1950 metres above sea level and facing south, the stone and wood clad Resort Club Med overlooks the entire Tarentaise valley. Built on the slopes, it dominates a bona fide resort, developed with consideration and affection by the inhabitants of Montvalezan. The Savoyard interior design tells the fabulous story of the mythical Petit St Bernard pass, from the crossing of the Alps by Hannibal with his elephants, to the pilgrims crossing the high mountain, to which the fresco in reception bears witness.

Wonderful family vacation
We had a wonderful vacation in La Rosier with three kids of different ages.
The kids club was perfect, the Go's were kind and attentive, especially the petit club care givers.
The Ski instructors for the kids were not consistent, some were great and others were unprofessional or didn't seem to care. It made us feel that next time we should be more involved.
We found the rooms lovely with a phenomenal view with a perfect cleaning service.
The spa and the Yoga with Theo was incredible, relaxing and made our trip perfect.
In the exclusive lounge Pauline and Karen both helped with everything we needed. The intimate space made it possible to meet other families and for the kids to make new friends while we relax at the end of the day. Another thanks is to Ali for the delicious cocktails he made especially.
Lastly, the food. Although there is a big verity to choose from, the food is not good. We would hope for less choice but for the quality to be better.
In total we enjoyed our stay very much.

It just works so well for families …
Great atmosphere overall, warm, friendly, relax. The staff is very nice - the young team at the mini club is always brilliant: dynamic, caring, smiling, and just switched on. The resort is very confortable, with beautiful views on and surrounded with mountains only. The organisation is perfectly oiled and very professional: activities, food management, and the number of people is perfectly well handled. Its been three years in a row, and there will be a forth one! Hopefully!

Family trip
We arrived late on Sunday evening and had to rush to ski room and restaurant to have late dinner around 9pm. One of the waitress appeared to have deliberately sprayed table cleaner onto my daughter and me. I had the drops on my table and my daughter had them in her eyes and she was really upset about it. It was such unpleasant experience to start our ski holiday.
Overall we had a great time. The room is being kept clean. The esf instructors are great. My daughter enjoyed going skiing everyday. I had a really good snowboard instructor. I would highly recommend.
I definitely would come back.

Touch of class, lovely hotel (shame about the grumpy ski instructors in Petit Club)
Club Med, all included and you don't want for anything. It makes things very simple. The hotel is beautifully presented, looks very classy and modern, yet still comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and a comfortable temperature throughout. Staff are very friendly and always say hello and are very helpful if you have a query.
The private airport transfers after an early flight with a child are a welcome start to the holiday not having delays and elongated coach trips on mountain roads. A Car seat was installed ready and we were given a chilled bottle of water. We had been warned of farmers blockading roads so were prepared for delays but he just took routes that avoided the problems which we were super grateful for.
Greeted on arrival and sat down with a drink to get everything explained and provided with SkiPass and wristband that opens room and ski locker before going up to the room where luggage is waiting by the door. Plenty of cupboards and drawers to unpack everything into.
Our Family Room had an entrance hallway with toilet and bathroom off and lots of storage. There are two separate bedrooms. One very comfortable superking bed and armchairs leading out to the balcony with a lovely mountain view and one head to head twin beds. Kettle, teas and coffee provided in the room but no small sized milk anywhere so we asked in the restaurant and were given a full sized one that we kept on the balcony (no fridge in room)to put in the fridge in the room. Bottled water was provided daily.
There is a TV in both bedrooms and had English channels, we even managed to get childrens films on one of them. We paid for WIFI on 4 devices and it was a reasonably good throughout the hotel.
Nice sized bathroom with shower over bath, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Lotions all provided. Controllable towel rail which was great for drying ski gear (mittens etc).
We registered for adult ski groups. The Club Med equipment rental is super easy as it is all placed in your ski lockers ready for you, however you do pay through the nose for that convenience so we always pre-book with the local SkiSet and walk to collect the gear. We generally find it is a slightly better standard and about 2/3rds of the price. The lockers have plenty of space in them and the boot dryers are very good.
The shop sells all the usual things, clothing, gifts etc, all displays updated daily to feature the theme of the day
The food was to a very high standard with lots of choice for all, including children and vegetarians. Breakfasts were very good, all you could want for hot and cold selections. Each day there was a lunchtime BBQ where you arrive back which was a great selection of meats, salad etc. Makes it easy to just grab a quick bite and get back out if you don't want to take off your ski boots. There is a party vide to it with music playing.
Restaurant Lunches and evening meals had a good selection across hot and cold that changed daily with some standard offerings such as pasta, pizza, cold meats and cheese, salad bar etc. There always seemed to be at least one vegetarian and fish option. There was a section for children with fish, chicken, sausages, burgers, chips or some sort of fried potato. The desserts were beautifully presented and had a massive choice, far too tempting! The afternoon tea had a selection of sandwiches, savouries and cakes plus pancakes. There was charcuterie and cheese served before dinner along with cocktail of the day. Nice selection of drinks in the bar and the wine served in the restaurant was good. The young man who was working the area where we tended to sit in the evening with another family with a young child was very helpful and would set the table for us including cutlery for the children.
I used the spa and had a very nice massage. We used the pool on a daily basis. It was a nice size and there are sinkers and floatation aids available. There is a shallow splashpool that is a bit warmer. There are a couple of hot tubs outside that seemed popular. Nice sized sauna and steam rooms that were never too busy.
There was a games room with Fussball and ping pong tables that seemed popular with the older kids. Each night there was a family show in the theatre from 8.15 to 9pm then a bit later there was some other entertainment but we had returned to the room by then so didn't see any of it.
The kids club was well organised. Our daughter was in Petit Club so had a 2 hour ski instruction in the afternoon afternoon. We tried to watch for a bit as we arrived back just before 4pm but the instructors were very dismissive and sent adults away so it was a bit sad that we couldn't see how she was doing. There was an 'atmosphere' between the instructors and the parents.
We don't necessarily need instruction but like to access the adult ski groups to help orientation on the mountain, learn the best runs etc and also meet people. My group did a morning and afternoon session, my Husbands went out in the morning and returned at 2pm as mine was leaving again, so I made him a sandwich at lunch to give to him and he joined my group in the afternoon. My group was really sociable and we made great friends, my husbands group skied great terrain but there was limited English.
The hotel location is great for ski in and ski out and we were lucky to have decent show and blue skies most of the week.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and felt very spoiled, it had a luxury feel to it. We had previously stayed at Serre Chevalier as a 3 Trident before it was refurbished and we thought it was great, but we now understand why some people were commenting it wasn't 'up to standard' La Rosiere was a real touch of class.

A wonderful time with Club Med at La Rosiere
Club Med exceeded their high standards in cuisine, spectaculars and friendliness of GO’’s.
Skiing was great led by ESF guide Thomas in 3A. who guided us throughout La Rosiere an La Thuile. Weather superb
