We loved our (1st) Club Med ski holiday in CM LP2100. We got a slick shared minibus transfer from GVA airport. Friendly Club Med staff greeted us at the hotel, took bags to our room, gave a quick intro, then sorted us for lunch till the room was ready. Very impressive. The hotel location is brilliant for skiing - high altitiude and right on the slope side. You can either ski down to Lovatiere / Becoin lifts at Plagne Centre, or take the short Stade draglift up to the Golf / Roche lift area - and it's equally easy to ski back. Best of all you arrive back at a big decking terrace where you can sit and have a drink in the afternoon sun (hopefully). The hotel itself was also v good, though the decor is slightly "tired" in places. We were staying as a couple over Easter week, so it was busy and "child heavy". If we were coming again we might choose a different week away from school hols. The "all-inclusive" package is a winner with flights / transfers / food / standard drinks / whole are ski passes / inclusive ESF lessons for 5 days (excellent - am and pm 2 days, then 3 long days). Only gear rental was not included (we used Skiset up in Aime Plagne, but Club Med do offer equipment onsite, at a higher price). We thought the food was excellent, with a very wide buffet selection at breakfast / lunch and dinner - including salads, fruit, hot meats fish vegetables, plus some really interesting offerings which I would be happy to be served in a higher end restaurant. This alongside some constant standards (good burgers / pizzas / fries etc). The restaurant does get pretty busy at times, so there can be a bit of a "canteen" feel especially with children running around. But it was all good fun as long as you weren't looking for a fine dining experience. (The smaller "Serac" restaurant off the main restaurant is quieter, but you have to book it. A small range of starters, a fondue and a desert are included as part of the inclusive deal - with paid options available). There was a good choice of drinks in the bar and restaurant, with still and sparkling water, soft drinks, beers (including excellent Grimbergen), house wines, and cocktails included free, with some premium options that had to be paid for (we didn't bother - but there's an impressive wine list if you wish to push the boat out). Our "superior slopeside" room was fine - comfortable and functional with a decent bathroom. The ski lockers were OK but again busy at times. So overall highly recommended!
We had a lovely stay overall, with some clear highlights. The children’s skiing lessons were excellent—well organised, engaging, and led by fantastic instructors who made the experience both fun and educational. An additional three-hour lesson we booked for our son was also fantastic and very worthwhile. The food /drinks and entertainment was also a standout, with great variety and quality throughout our stay. However, the adult skiing lessons were disappointing, as they felt more like guided sightseeing than structured instruction. When we asked instructors for feedback, none was provided, which made the sessions feel even less valuable. In other resorts, such as Tignes, we found the adult group lessons to be much more structured and accompanied by useful feedback, which highlighted the difference in quality here. Additionally, the rooms are quite outdated and would benefit from refurbishment, as the furnishings and facilities feel worn. It’s also worth noting that there is no indoor swimming pool or sauna, which would have been particularly welcome after a long day of skiing. We understand that the hotel is due to close for a major refurbishment, which is very encouraging. We would love to return after the improvements are completed, as the overall experience and service were very positive.
A wonderful family holiday with friends, filled with a brilliant atmosphere and excellent organisation. The food is consistently outstanding both the variety of dishes and the quality are truly phenomenal. Catering on such a large scale isn’t easy, but Club Med always gets it just right. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, always happy to chat and make you feel welcome. Great organisation for the skiing as well. The last authentic affordable club med for skiing. Also lots of activities for younger children and perfect for our teenagers.
