Ixtapa Pacific Mexico

Couple in our 30s. We stayed a week and we really enjoyed our vacation. Staff is super friendly, lots of different activities. All the sport facilities are super well maintained. If you re a sport enthousiaste you will like this village. We pretty much did all the activities propose and had a really good time. Rooms are big and practical but do need some love.
Mexican food is absolutely amazing. Didn’t try much of the “international” food but didn’t see the point of eating lasagna in Mexico.
Only 2 restaurants but we didn’t care.

We are coming back to this beautiful resort year after year. This time our extended family could not make it but it is perfect place for families.We would still rate it higher than other all inclusive for the food and sports.It has always very friendly and energetic GO's (the young employees) and lots of daily activities. You meet interesting people. It is very safe and welcoming.

This resort is a great option for families or people who like to stay active. If all you want is a beach and a drink in your hand, this might not be for you (although the beach & the drinks are great). The big benefits here are (a) great food for families with adults & kids who want different things, and (b) the variety of activities available: tennis, archery, volleyball, fitness, yoga, trapeze, kayaking, sailing, and sometimes waves just big enough to play in. And (c) staff that are friendly and put on dancing & shows by night. Some of it is campy humour, but they work really hard to make things fun. Oh, and (d) the weather in our experience is awesomely stable & hot. All of this makes for an unbelievable vacation if an active all-inclusive experience is what you are looking for. Best location in the region. Great beach and sunsets. Activities are top notch especially circus. Great Mexican food with huge variety.

CM Ixtapa is a GEM of a spot. CM Ixtapa has the most consistent tropical climate. You simply can’t beat the weather. Western Canadians (Calgary) can get there on a direct flight. Our days were filled with trapeze, paddle board, archery & aqua gym. The Trapeze team (Chucho mgr, Holly, Edgar, Pablo and Ceci) is a WONDERFUL group. Be sure to FLY with them (5 gold stars!) and watch them perform. We throughly enjoyed the water sports, which included a kayak trip to the island (5 more stars) in the bay (team = Issam mgr, Paulo, Ara, Franco). Additional shout outs to the high energy chef du sport, Kyle, and members of the land sport team (Izzy, Gerardo, Bruno). And don’t miss 3pm meditation with Yuki and her singing bowls - an incredible experience. We could list stellar GOs for days and still miss someone. Bartenders, food service staff, and food is wonderful. I am already missing the freshly made guacamole, pico de gallo, chips and other daily Mexican food offerings. At the bars, the ‘daily cocktail’ is a must try… I’m a fan of both the Mescalito & Southside.

A few afternoons, groups of whale spouts could be seen from the main restaurant patio, in the ocean beyond the bay. Near shore, we watched groups of pelicans dive for fish, unperturbed by the presence of the humans swimming feet away. And last but not least, we had the opportunity to watch a turtle release - 84 newly hatched babies - on the beach in front of the club. (This is a hit or miss opportunity, based on when a nest hatches, and the release occurs the evening a nest hatches. Club Med participates in conservation efforts of sea turtles and protects a ‘nursery’ of nests. These turtles will return to the bay where they were laid and hatched, to lay their owns nests. Guests can also sign up for a daily, off-club excursion to a turtle sanctuary to see turtle releases.)
